Why can't I find a project?

You may find that despite being absolutely sure that a project exists you cannot find it using project search. There are a couple of reasons why this might happen.

The project is no longer shared with you and you have the user role

If you have been removed from a project then the project will no longer show up in search. Note that if you are searching by customer you may still see a customer tag appear, but when you select it you will see no projects. That indicates that there is a project that exists in your organization with that customer, but you do not have access to it. You may want to reach out to an admin to help you find the project and have them share it with you.

The project is no longer shared with you and you have the admin role

If you have the admin role, you will experience the same as above. However, you can use the admin interface to search projects that have not been shared with you. If you were experiencing searching by customer by getting no results, this should help you find the project you are looking for.

The project was deleted

When a project is deleted it will no longer show up in search and previous links to access it will no longer work. To protect against accidental deletions we do keep project data for a period of time before deleting. If you think something has been deleted accidentally, reach out to us via the in-app chat any time and we can help you recover it.
