Welcome to another monthly feature update. Below you will find the various improvements that we made last month that will help you be more productive as you use D3M. Remember to reach out with any ideas and suggestions to make D3M the best tool for you and your business.

Simplified Quote Part Importing

Keeping your parts list up to date just got easier. Previously, every line in your CSV import needed a part number, name, and price, even if you only wanted to update one detail. Now, you only need to provide the part number and the specific fields you want to update. Don’t want to change the name? Just leave it blank, and D3M will keep the existing information.

We also provide better error messages if the import fails so that you can fix the issue and try again.

One-Click Quote Updates

When pricing updates, D3M flags out-of-date line items in your quotes so you can refresh them. Until now, you had to click through each item individually. With our new update, a convenient banner at the top of the quote lets you bring all line items up to date in a single click—saving time and reducing errors.

Connection Routing

Connections in your diagrams now have the option to avoid all icons, not just the ones they’re connected to. With this new organization setting, your diagrams stay cleaner and easier to read, as connections won’t route through unrelated icons. Keep in mind: in very large projects, enabling this feature may affect performance, so use it where it makes the most sense.

Find this option in your organization settings (admins only).

Easier Icon Library Management

Managing your access to icon libraries is now simpler and more intuitive. We’ve streamlined the interface and made the access button more prominent, so you can quickly find and manage the libraries you need.

New Motorola Icons

As usual we have been adding requested icons to the built in libraries. This month we added 4 new icons (TLK 25, Evolve, R7 Non-Keypad, and Edge Node) and updated the look of the R7 icon in the Motorola Solutions library.

Please reach out with any requests for new icons, libraries, or features by sending us a message using the in-app chat. Just click the question mark in the top right corner of D3M.
