Your projects within D3M can grow to be very big and complex. The ability to lock sections of your project can help eliminate unwanted movement of icons or other aspects of a project.

In D3M, you have the ability to lock the following aspects of a project:

  • Icons

  • Areas

  • Groups

  • Text

  • Images

  • Racks

  • Links / Connections

To lock something within D3M, it is as simple as right clicking on what you would like to lock, and then clicking on "Lock".

Locking something prevents any further movement until it is unlocked. This means that while locked, and icon is still editable. For example, you can still edit an icon's ports and properties while it is locked.

To unlock, the process is exactly the same. Simply right click the locked item, and click "Unlock".

Thats all there is to locking & unlocking things within D3M! Feel free to check out some other related help articles.
