Create a connection between icons

Joining equipment with lines is an important part of a network diagram.

Once you have at least two icons in your diagram, you will be able to create a connection between them.

  • Start by clicking the Ports button in the top right of the diagram.

  • You will see that the icons change to show the ports that they have available.

  • Click and drag from one port to create a connection to another port.

Notice that while you are dragging to make a connection, D3M will only allow you to connect to other ports that are compatible with the port you started from. For example, you cannot make a connection between an IP port and a RADIO port.ย
