Teldio takes data security and the privacy of your personal information very seriously. Built using the best industry-standard security practices, D3M employs strict policies to protect your confidential data and to keep you abreast of pertinent information regarding your data in the unlikely event of an issue. Below is an outline of our best practices and policies around data security and privacy.

Please note that D3M employees will never access any project data without express written consent from you, should you require technical support.

Our Data Partners

We partner with industry leaders that provide reliable, secure services to thousands of accredited companies.

Secure Data Storage

All D3M data is stored by Amazon Data Centers, a trusted and reliable organization that specializes in data storage. Their servers are redundant (meaning the data is duplicated) and distributed (meaning it isn’t all stored in one location). They are industry experts in the secure storage and provisioning of data and are able to guarantee 99.99% availability of data.

Secure Data Transmission

SSL encryption (Secure Sockets Layer) is the most widely deployed security protocol used today. D3M uses SSL encryption to provide a secure channel for the data that is sent between two machines operating over the Internet. This ensures that all data passed between D3M and its users remains private and integral.

Daily Backups

You can rest easy when you store your data with D3M because we are consistently backing up your data. In the unlikely event that our provider’s services experience a failure that cannot be fully rectified or a user accidentally and irreversibly destroys important data, we retain daily backups of data for up to a week and weekly backups for up to 5 weeks.

Data Sharing

D3M was built as a collaborative tool so you can share your project data with colleagues, clients, third-party suppliers, and manufacturers.

Your data is only accessible by users that have been granted access to the Organization or Sharing features of D3M. View access may also be granted through a link that requires a matching project identifier and token. The link is unique to 56 undecillion, or 56 billion billion billion billion combinations, making it theoretically impossible to guess in a lifetime. Access to data can be revoked immediately at any time.

A project can only be viewed and/or accessed if the creator of the project has explicitly shared it with other users (or his entire organization). This rule applies to all except owner accounts within the user’s D3M organization which have the ability to view all projects and edit their “Share list”.

Account Security & Password Protection

Your user password information is encrypted with a 448-bit key and cannot be accessed by anyone other than you. Here are the steps we take to ensure your account security:

  • Each user must create a secure password that is difficult to decipher. Passwords must have a minimum of 8-16 characters depending on your admin level, cannot begin with a numeric character, and must include a number, an uppercase letter, and a lowercase letter.

  • After 10 consecutive failed attempts to log in, your account is blocked and you’ll be prompted to reset your password through your email account associated with your D3M account.

  • You can change your password at any time given that you have access to your account or the associated email account.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy, and maintain a general policy of openness about how we collect, use and disclose your personal information. D3M’s complete privacy policy can be found here and complies with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada).
