What's new in July 2026

Introducing more quality of life improvements to Documents, Sheets, and diagrams!

Written by Andrew Tran

July brought quality-of-life improvements to Documents, Sheets, and diagrams — from faster ways to work with document images and sheet columns, to a cleaner, more spacious diagramming experience.

Quality of life improvements

Select multiple columns in Sheets

Click and drag to select a range of columns at once. Copy your selection to paste into an external spreadsheet, or copy from a spreadsheet and paste it directly into Sheets — your data lands exactly where you'd expect it.

Default Sheets for new projects

In our efforts to eventually replace Inventory, new projects will automatically have the sheets: Devices, Wired Connections, and Wireless Connections which will auto-populate as you work on your project.

Recall that Sheets are still in early access. If you'd like to try them with your team, or you're already using them and have ideas, we'd love to hear from you.

Paste images directly into Documents

Copy an image to your clipboard and paste it directly into a Document. Skip the extra steps of saving and uploading an image separately.

More room to work in diagrams

Collapse the Icon library sidebar to free up extra space for your diagram — handy for smaller windows.

We also made two smaller tweaks: images on diagrams can now be sent to front or back just like Icons, and double middle-clicking a diagram will instantly zoom-to-fit.

We remain committed to making D3M faster, simpler, and more powerful to support the work you do every day, and your feedback continues to guide our priorities.
