File sharing features require a Team or Enterprise subscription.

Share files with external contacts

You can share a single file or entire folder with a customer or partner. By default, all files and folders are private and not accessible via a link.

Start by finding the file or folder you would like to share and click the share button.

This will open a dialog for managing the sharing of that file or folder. Click "Sharing Disabled" to enable sharing.

When sharing is enabled you will get a temporary share link that you can share with anyone regardless of whether they have a D3M account. Notice that sharing is always limited by time. Here, the share link will last for 3 days and then expire.

Receiving a shared file or folder

Files

Sharing a file gives download access to only that file.

Folders

Sharing a folder grants access to upload files to the folder or download any of the files within that folder.

Change the expiry date

You can easily change the expiry date by clicking on the amount of days until expiry.

Manage default share duration

Sharing files and folders will default to expiring after 3 days. Organization administrators can configure how long a file share will be available by default in the organization settings.

Selecting "1 Week" means that any time someone in your organization enables sharing on a file or folder, the link will default to being available for 7 days from the current date.
